The Acquired Taste socks pay tribute to the beautiful adaptation of the iconic Coca Cola logo lettering in Hebrew, and Kinley–an orange soda also using the same lettering convention. The sock design incorporates the word “Sale” in Hebrew and English with a typeface inspired by David Tartakover in his famous “Ima” poster from 1987, revived typefaces created by the Fontef Type Foundry.
The Back of the sock says “Taam Nirkash” meaning “acquired taste” designed with Haim Condensed–a typeface used in the Israeli cigarette warnings contrasting the other elements on the sock and their dual meaning to both consumption and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
